The GFTKD annual Charity Board Break-a-thon will be held Saturday, May 22 from Noon-2 PM to benefit Amanda’s House of Glens Falls.
Come and support the students’ efforts to raise funds for a worthy cause.
GFTKD will be holding the following fund-raising events leading up to the Break-a-thon:
- Game Night @ GFTKD 4/23/2010, 6-8 PM
- Car Wash @ First Baptist Church (across from GFTKD) 5/1/2010
- Garage Sale @ GFTKD 5/15/2010
The Summer Program begins on Monday, July 5th, 2010. NEW STUDENTS will receive 6 weeks of instruction and a uniform for $50.00! Stop by the office to sign up!
GFTKD students will be participating in the following upcoming tournaments:
Northeast Open – July 10, 2010
CaRMAA tournament at South Glens Falls Senior High – October 2, 2010 (More information soon)

Seventeen students from GFTKD competed in the AAU Regional Qualifier at Hudson Valley Community College on Feb. 6th, 2010. All 17 earned invitations to compete at the AAU Nationals this summer, winning six gold, nine silver and eight bronze medals.

Congratulations to twenty-six of our fellow students who competed in the forks and breaking CaRMAA tournament in East Greenbush on Saturday, November 7th. Each represented their school in great fashion, winning or not. Thanks to all of you the local food pantry benefited greatly due to all of your contributions. The friendships forged during these events help bond fellow students together within our school and within the CaRMAA group as a whole. We all had a great time and gained valuable experiences for future events. If you missed this opportunity and want to compete in forms or sparring, look forward to February 6th at Hudson Valley Community College for the AAU Regional Qualifier.
